| As part of our continued focus on safety, we are requiring documentation showing that each steering wheel airbag has been properly sourced. This requirement is being put in place because the market has seen an influx of counterfeit airbags coming from China, and those airbags create a serious safety risk for the driver of the vehicle. Safety remains our top priority, and this expectation is a critical part of that commitment. Effective immediately, every vehicle must have proof of a properly sourced driver’s side wheel airbag. Examples of acceptable receipt sources include: OEM LKQ Fenix Licensed automobile recycler Unacceptable examples: Handwritten receipts will not be accepted Receipts from eBay will not be accepted, regardless of the seller. Each receipt must also be signed and dated by the AutoSavvy employee receiving it. If any rebuilder is found using, or attempting to use, the same receipt more than once, we will cease doing business with that rebuilder. If you have any questions about whether your source is acceptable, please reach out to your AutoSavvy representative before purchasing or submitting airbags for verification. Thank you for your cooperation and for taking this requirement seriously. |
